Personal Notes - Psalm 139:9

“If I take the wings of dawn, If I dwell to the remotest part of the sea,”

“But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, ‘Arise and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza.’ And he arose and went; and behold there wan an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians , who was in charge of all her treasure; and he had come to Jerusalem to worship.” Acts 8:26-27

“’but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.’” Acts 1:8

As a new Christian, I earnestly desired to serve the Lord;and thought this meant going to some remote, primitive place with physical dangers at every corner. As it turned out it did, but not in the way I imagined. To sustain me through my journey, He gave me those three verses -- and one day, all alone, I took the wings of dawn – to serve Him in Australia and New Zealand (lands I barely knew existed) Yet even before I came, the Father knew His plans for me! I now understand the lessons He had for me and know in my heart that my time here has been training for another place. I wonder when and how He will send me there.

Stay near God's Word. Take care. Your servant & friend in Christ, Darlene
