“O how I love Thy law!
It is my meditation all the day.
Thy commandments make me wiser than y enemies. For they are ever mine. I have more insight than all my teachers, for
Thy testimonies are my meditation.
“I understand more than the aged, because I have observed
Thy precepts. I have restrained my feet
from every evil way, that I may keep Thy word.
I have not turned aside from Thine ordinances, for Thou Thyself hast
taught me.
“How sweet are Thy words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! From Thy precepts I get understanding;
therefore I have every false way. Thy
word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
[Jesus teaching] “’You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under the
peck-measure, but on the lamp stand; and it gives light to all who are in the
house. Let your light shine before men
in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is
in heaven.’” Matthew 5:14-16
Preparation for this book
When I was asked to write a little ‘how to share the Gospel’
course for my church, I had by then taken numerous courses on how to share your
faith with another person. I had a stack
of different kinds of tracts and books to research various ways. And then it dawned on me that the best source
of how to share your faith would be the Lord Jesus Christ.
I mean, did you ever notice how He approached others? I had not taken a focused view of this and
when I did, the course I wrote was a good deal different that any of the
courses I studied.
Furthermore, I learned a good deal from looking at sharing
my faith from Jesus’ perspective. And it
got me to wondering what book of the Old Testament Jesus quoted from the most. When I asked others, I was told it was
Deuteronomy. So I took extra time with
Deuteronomy thinking it must have some powerful value if Jesus loved that book
so much.
But then I wanted to note these quotes for myself and see
what other books, if others, Jesus might have quoted from. And I was surprised. And this series on how Jesus included
Scriptures in His everyday conversation may also surprise and inspire you.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)

Not sure about Apple.)
