The Original Statute of Limitations

"'At the end of every seven years, you shall grant a remission of debts.  And this is the manner of remission:  every creditor shall release what he has loaned for his neighbour; he shall not exact it of his neighbour and his brother, because the Lord 's remission has been proclaimed.  From a foreigner you may extract it, but your hand shall release whatever of yours is with your brother.

"'However, there shall be no poor among you, since the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance to possess, if only you listen obediently to the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all this commandment which I am commanding you today.'" Deuteronomy 15:1-5

Imagine if every seven years, all forgiven sinners turned around and forgave all those who owed them a debt...wiped the slate clean and a new day dawned?  Imagine if the Body of Christ looked after each other's needs together.

It seems our heavenly Father had this hope in mind...yet today, many in the Body of Christ have forgotten this in lieu of building mega-fancy buildings and driving fancy-dancy cars and having the finest of clothing.

The promise?  The Lord will bless and give and give until we receive such abundance our cup runneth over...IF ONLY....

The poor?  Well, we will look often at what the Lord says about caring for those in need in the Body in the coming months in this series of the perils within the promises of the prosperity gospel.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
