YOUR Mission Field!

"But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.  And you too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me." Philippians 2:17-18

"But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, 'Arise and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza." (This is a desert road.)  And he arose and went and behold, there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians who was in charge of all her treasure, and he had come to Jerusalem to worship.

"And he was returning and sitting in his chariot and was reading the prophet, Isaiah.  And the Spirit said to Philip, 'Go up and join this chariot.'   And when Philip had run up, he heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, 'Do you understand what you are reading?"  And he said, 'Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?'  And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him." Acts 8:26:31

We are all missionaries.  Sometimes we can feel quite alone in our efforts, and feeling alone is natural.  Yet, the Holy Spirit abides within you and Jesus Christ lives for you and Father God enfolds you -- so you are never alone!

We don't think about missionaries often enough, but they are not just the ones travelling into some dark, dangerous and mysterious jungle where food and water are scarce and sometimes danger lurks around every corner.  We all have a "mission field".

In 1988 the Lord gave me a passage in Scripture (Acts 8:26-40) that showed me an unexpected mission field in the middle of a desert country, Australia.  Here He has shown me how my mission field is within business settings (where there are ample dangers!).

Other wise disciplers showed me additional mission fields to fill through writing and creating Bible workshops and teaching at churches where many are not excited about reading and applying His "Love Letter" for themselves, yet.

Your mission field will be as unique as your fingerprint!  And the Lord commends you and strengthens you for whomever He is preparing for you to minister to right now!  And He will care for you through all the dangers and darkness.  Be ready!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
