A Pin-Drop Quiet

"After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind should blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.

"And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea; saying, 'Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads." Revelation 7:1-3

Most have experienced an unusual calm before a real whopper of a storm.  Here in Revelation it is as if God is taking a huge breath as He prepares to protect the children He loves so much.

Can you imagine how quiet it must be when God calls for quiet?  Perhaps like the three hours in-between:

"And it was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour, the sun being obscured; and the veil of the temple was turn in two.  And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into Thy hands I commit My spirit.'  And having said this, He breathed His last." Luke 23:44-46

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
