"'Do not lay up for
yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust can destroy, and where
thieves break in and steal.
But lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do
not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be
also.'" Matthew 6:19-21
"Thou art my King, O
God; command victories for Jacob.
Through Thee we will push back our adversaries; through Thy name will we
trample down those who rise up against us.
For I will not trust in my bow, nor will my sword save me." Psalms
44:4-6
"Earlier we saw that the psalmist sad, 'I do not trust in
my bow', but he did not say, 'I have thrown it away.' To put the use of ordinary means and a trust
in God into proper perspective is to look
in trust to God to USE the means He has provided."*
All the cotton wool padding we surround ourselves with,
thinking we are safe and protected from difficulties, dangers and destitution
are there only by the grace of God.
The moment we curl our fingers around them, thinking we must
not lose them, we take our eyes off the Sole provider of all that padding. Our eyes must remain on Him in thanksgiving
and trust.
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene

it is not cancer. She does not know the
Lord, yet.
