"Now Sarai, Abram's wife had born
him no children, and she had an Egyptian maid whose name was Hagar. So Sarai said to Abram, 'Now behold the Lord
has prevented me from bearing children, please go in to my maid; perhaps I
shall obtain children through her.'" Genesis 16:1-2a
Abram would have shared his vision and revelation from God with his
wife, yet she saw only "real" solutions and took action to hurry up
the promise of God. Doesn't work, you
know.
"My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life,
and peace they will add to you. Do not
let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the
tablet of your heart, so you will find favour and good repute in the sight of
God and man.
"Trust in the Lord with all your
heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, do not be
wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and
turn away from evil. It will be healing
to your body and refreshment to your bones." Proverbs 3:1-8
Take care with love, especially His!
Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
