“For men will be lovers of
self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents,
ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without
self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers
of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although
they have denied its power, and avoid such men as these.
We
live in a world that surprises and shocks us for the way things seem to happen,
innocent people are slaughtered either physically or emotionally all around us;
the earth and environment weeps for choking; respect and reserve are lost in a rush
to have it all.
Somewhere
in your life, sometime in your history someone prayed for you, passed “the message
of the Gospel” to you or taught you from childhood that there is a better way. No matter how discouraged you may grow...
“You however, continue in the
things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have
learned them; and that from childhood you have known the Sacred Writings which
are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is
in Christ Jesus.
“All Scripture is inspired by
God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in
righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good
work.” II
Timothy 3:2-5, 14-17
“...’and lo, I am with you always,
even to the end of the age.’”
Matthew 28:20b
Take
care with love, especially His! Your
servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
