Start At the Beginning

"Then Joshua said to the sons of Israel, ‘Come here, and hear the words of the Lord your God.’  And Joshua said, ‘By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will assuredly dispossess from before you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amonrite, and the Jebusite.  Behold the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over ahead of you into the Jordan.

“Now then, take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man for each tribe.  And it shall come about when the soles of the feet of the priest who carry the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, and the waters which are flowing down from above shall stand in one heap.’” Joshua 3:9-13

Once we’re saved our perspective changes...we see things from different “angles” and notice things we’ve not noticed before.  You know, those “little miracles” of God’s perfect timing, the lost letter, the coincidence or the arrival of a person at your door that you need to spend time with.  The “little” miracles that make our early walk seem so alive.  God really SEEMS to be everywhere, palpable, close, intimate.  Life sometimes squeezes that perspective from us with all its demands and dangers...what can we do?

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Do not cast me away from Thy presence, and do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me.  Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit.  Then I will teach transgressors Thy ways, and sinners will be converted to Thee.” Psalm 51:10-12

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
