His Provision...

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

“Thus says God the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and its offspring, who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk in it.  ‘I am the Lord.  I have called you in righteousness.  I will also hold you by the hand and watch over you, and I will appoint you as a covenant to the people, as a light to the nations, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the dungeon, and those who dwell in darkness from the prison.” Isaiah 42:5-7

“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” I Thessalonians 5:24

“The secret was not in his [David’s] sling-shot ability, though he certainly knew how to handle his sling, but in his God who had called him in the situation and who accomplished His purposes through him.  I repeat, David proved the adequacy of God in the context of his obedience to God, and without his initiative in obeying, he would never have seen the Lord work through him.”*

Where He calls you He has a plan.  What time it is, is the right time.  Where He places you is just perfect.  What you have learned of Him will sustain you.  What you have with you is just what He wants you to have with you.

“Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey”! (John H. Sammis, 1887)

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS:  That those in the news media do not forget those still without power and heat from super storm Sandy and the volunteers who are still working tirelessly.

Adrian, went yesterday to have the first round of treatments and sent me a text at 1 AM to say he has horrible pain.  Please pray for someone nearby to help him or that the hospital will find a way to let him stay there rather than drive the hour each way for the treatments.  (His cancer is the same rare type as Deb below with link).  I am too far away to help hands-on.  Please pray someone will take time to be with Adrian for the holidays.  He’s growing very tired and the pain meds no longer help.  If anyone’s near there, please let me know.  He needs some visitors & love!
