Where Are YOU!

“The the Lord answered Job out of the storm, and said, ‘Now gird up your loins like a man; I will ask you, and you instruct Me.  Will you really annul My judgment?  Will you condemn Me that you may be justified?  Or do you have an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like His?

“Adorn yourself with eminence and dignity; and clothe yourself with honour and majesty.  Pour out the overflowing of your anger; and look on everyone who is proud and make him low.  Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him; and tread down the wicked where they stand.  Hide them in the dust together; bind them in the hidden place.  Then I will also confess to you, that your own right hand can save you.’”  Job 4040:6-14

As Philip Yancy searched through and analysed the Book of Job, he was surprised to discover that although it seemed logical and reasonable to find Job complaining about his miserable health and lamenting the loss of this children and fortune, he was surprised to find that Jon had relatively little to say about those matters.  What he did find was that job ‘focused instead on the single theme of God’s absence.  What hurt Job most was the sense of crying out in desperation and getting no response.”*

God has given us so much and provided His Body of believers around us to support us when we are needy and confused, hurt and afraid.  When we look for the Father our perspective can change...it is up to us to consider God’s plan in all that we see and experience and being thankful for His moment-by-moment hand in our lives.  This also means taking action, as His eyes, ears, arms and legs to serve those around us in His name.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
