Thank You

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. – for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Finally, by brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same thing again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard to you. – that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. –

“Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say rejoice! Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Various verses from Phillipians

“The Epistles were written to a motley crew of converted angel worshipers, thieves, idolaters, backbiters, and prostitutes – those were the people in whom God took up residence. Read Paul’s descriptions of the supposed ‘ideal church’ in a city like Corinth: a raucous, ornery bunch that rivals any church in history for their unholyiness.” *

Today in the USA it’s Thanksgiving. What we share in Christ, the grace and gifts we’ve so generously been given....well, I think that IS what Thanksgiving brings to mind for me, even though it’s not celebrated here, my heart is still filled with wonderful, rich memories of spending time with family and Family, thankful to Him! And while I am at it, I am thankful for each and every one of you who take this time to read these musings. Enjoy your day, my friends and eat a piece of turkey and pumpkin pie for me.

Take care to understand His Word. Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
