Not Alone

“But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptised into one Body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.

“But God has so composed the Body, giving more abundant honour to that member which lacked, that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are Christ’s Body, and individually members in it.” I Corinthians 11-14, 24b-27

“The doctrine of the Holy Spirit has great significance for the underlying questions of this book. My friend Richard had asked, ‘Where is God? Show m. I want to see Him.’ Surely at least part of the answer to his question is this: if you want to see God, then look at the people who belong to Him – they are His ‘bodies.’ They are the Body of Christ.

“That is the most humbling aspect of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. Richard probably will never hear a voice from a whirlwind that drowns out all questions. He will likely never get a personal glimpse of God in this life. He will only see me.” *

When we are His child, we KNOW we are never alone because He is there with us ALWAYS. Also, it''s comforting to KNOW that His people are there for us too. That is just part of His amazing plan for our lives!

Take care to understand His Word. Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
