Bad Providence?

“Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm, and said, ‘Now gird up your loins like a man’ I will ask you and you instruct Me. Will you really annul My judgment? Will you condemn Me that you may be justified? Or do you have an arm like God. And can you thunder with a voice like His.” Job 40:6-9

“You can’t have it both ways, he thought. If God gets credit for the survivor, He should also get blamed for the casualties. Yet churches never hear testimonies from the grievers. – So many times God had let me down. I hated God, and yet I was afraid too. I was a theology student right? Maybe God WAS there and I had it all wrong. How Could I KNOW? ‘God! Do you care? I prayed. I don’t want to tell You how to run Your world, but please give me some sign that You’re really there! That’s all I ask.’” * In our heart of hearts we know how deep a prayer like that can go...so deeply hidden that we can only see doubt in others, yet if we can think and reason, most can identify with the writer’s thoughts, if only for a moment in time. God’s providence covers all acts and actions in our world, even the ones that don’t make any sense to us. And there are NO easy answers when you are hurting or confused, but God promises...

“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what yuo are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.” II Corinthians 10:13

Why? “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (full, appropriate and complete payment) for our sins.” I John 4:10
