Weeping

"For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised.  He also is to be feared above all gods.  For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

"Splendour and majesty are before Him, strength and joy are in His place.  Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come before Him; worship the Lord in holy array  Tremble before Him, all the earth;" I Chronicles 16:25-30a

"In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.  And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the vessels of the house of God; and he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and he brought the vessels into the treasury of his god." Daniel 1:1-2

God is not asleep.  God is the ultimate power.  No one can stay His hand and no one can say to Him, "What are you doing?".  God's plan works above the disobedience of His people.

When things seem to be dark and confusing, when there is fear and despondency in our hearts, remember Daniel and those who were carried to Babylon, against their will, but never doubted for one moment that God would not be victorious!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene (see prayer request below for me as postings from here may be interrupted)

  • ·        Continue to pray for the special person you identified a few weeks ago in your assignment until they fall into His arms.  Then you can pick another to pray for!
