Sin Foundations - Weekend Assignment

"So Isaac lived in Gerar.  When the men of the place asked about his wife, he said, 'She is my sister,' for he was afraid to say, 'my wife,' thinking, 'the men of the place might kill me on account of Rebekah, for she is beautiful.'" Genesis 26:6-7

"Where can I go from Thy Spirit?  Or where can I flee from Thy presence?  If I ascend to heaven, Thou art there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, Thou art there.  If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Thy hand will lead me, and Thy right hand will lay hold of me.  If I say, 'Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be night,' even the darkness is not dark to Thee, and the night is as bright as the day." Psalm 139:7-12a

Weekend Assignment:  Take your Bible, a pen and your journal or some paper and find a quiet spot.  Then write a list of places, persons or events you have felt the Lord has somehow missed some details of things going on in your life.

Don't worry this list is only for you and only you and the Lord will see it.  Be honest, because He does know what is in your heart.  Then pray through Psalm 139 substituting your name and personal pronouns.  Remind yourself of the sovereign, limitless love of your Father.  Then consider your list again and cross off any of the items on your list than you know the Lord is watching over.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene

PS: ANY PRAYER UPDATES TODAY?  Please send updates!  For any of you who wonder if prayer is worth taking time for, just page back through previous entries and see the hand of our loving Father in action!
