Endings - Written Treasure

“Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea and also Nympha and the church that is in her house. And when this letter is read among you, had it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and you, for your part read my letter that is coming from Laodicea. And say to Archippus, ‘Take head to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfil it.’ I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my imprisonment. Grace be with you.” Colossians 4:16-18

When you write something down, you leave a bit of you behind for others to share. In fact, one of the most precious treasures I have is letters from others: my Mom and Dad, my little brother and his wife; dear, dear special friends, people who I’ve worked with over the years. I save their written words to read again and again and savour the friendships and the lessons learned from them...and I remember their love and times we spent together. That is what God wants us to do with His wonderful Word to us.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

Stay near God's Word. Take care. Your servant & friend in Christ, Darlene

PS: Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the States. Ongoing prayer requests: Reg’s ministry, Gary (lost his job on Sunday), doctors caring for: David, Adrian, Randy and Michael. The Kossallys and me during some big changes. For a new project for me in Australia. Praise: Lyle’s brother (out of hospital, learning to stand again).
