Word for Word (lyrics) Scripture Song
By Zac Fitzsimmons (3 min 36 sec)
“Hear my cry, O God; give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
"For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of
strength against the enemy. Let me dwell
in Your tent forever; let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.
“For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the in heritance of those who fear Your name. You will prolong the king’s life; his years will be as many generations.
"He will abide before God
forever; appoint lovingkindness and truth that they may preserve him. So I will
sing praise to Your name forever, that I may pay my vows day by day.” Psalm
61
Assignment
1. Set
aside an hour and find a place where you will not be interrupted.
2. Bring
your Bible, notebook, something to write with and a refreshment.
3. Settle
in and pray the Lord builds the gratefulness within your heart through this
assignment.
4. Open
to a fresh page in your notebook and date it.
5. This
is a ‘looking back’ assignment to help you go even further forward with
joy! Recall two times in your life when
things seemed overwhelming and too difficult for you to manage and write them
in your notebook.
6. Remember
how you felt throughout your struggle.
Was it a time that you had to manage the challenge alone or did you have
others who were there to help you through it?
Write as much about it as you wish to document that time.
7. Then
write down how each situation was resolved and thank God for holding you warmly
and surely under His wings of love -- that through it all He never left you to
bear the sorrow and/ or suffering alone.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you daily)
