Jesus Curiosity
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is knows about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
“For even though they knew God, they did not honour Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.” Romans 1:18-23
Some days you must wonder what is happening in this world. Being an American in a strange land, I’ve watched my nation slowly distancing itself from the cause of Christ and continue to pray for revival. I write devotional books, that may never be read by anyone and pray the Lord will heal the nation.
Today as I was scrolling through the morning news, I was surprised (maybe shocked is a better word) to read a headline: ‘America isn’t done with Jesus – and the bestseller list just proved it’. The article is about a new book called The Jesus Discoveries, by Jeremiah Johnston and how it is a healthy encouragement to all of us who pray God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven.
