Whose Image?
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” II Cor 3:18
“As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” Eph 4:14-16
The longer you stare at the picture above, and squint your eyes a little, you can see the hidden image of Jesus! This reminds us of the reason we are to be reading the Bible for ourselves…the more we read of it the more it begins to change our way of seeing Him.
It also helps change our perspective on the world around us. It is the key to growing increasingly into His image --- which is our ultimate goal as believers.
