Since we’ve finished with foods of the Bible series, while I consider the next topic, let’s look at the Bible. Reading Scripture in a non-churched family is how the Lord drew me to His Truth and changed my life. The longer I serve Him, the more I’ve observed that not many people read and study their Bibles for themselves (which is why I always include some Scripture verses to read).
I did a bit of research and confirmed the Bible remains the world’s bestselling book with one copy sold every 38 minutes (!) and over 100 million copies sold worldwide in 2020. Barna Research (graph above) shows there is a pronounced shift from those who would never read it to those who might. Please pray for this ‘Moveable Middle’ group.
