Remnant - Part 1
This is some information on Ark Encounter in the USA. Ark Encounter Park
“Then God said to Noah, ‘The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them (corrupt and violent men); and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.
“’Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch. This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
“’You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from the top, and set the door of the ark in the side of it; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.’” Genesis 6:13-16
Noah only had his imagination and a bunch of rudimentary tools and a family that believed in him (sounds like all of us, when you think about it). From the description above, he built a boat of salvation because He had not given up hoping in His creation (we can be His hands and feet to lead others to Him).
To me, the ark reminds me of how amazing, compassionate and just God is to save anyone for His purposes. Just think of those eight individuals on that boat as it sailed over the destroyed earth. It helps me understand what God means when He says only a remnant will be saved (Romans 9:27)!
