Murky Milk

[Job speaking with God] “’Your hands fashioned and made me altogether, and would You destroy me?  Remember now, that You have made me as clay’ and would You turn me into dust again?  Did You not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese; cloth me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews?

“’You have granted me life and lovingkindness; and Your care has preserved my spirit.  Yet these things You have concealed in Your heart; I know that this is within You; If I sin, then You would take note of me, and would not acquit me of my guilt.  If I am wicked, woe to me!  And if I am righteous, I dare not lift up my head.  I am sated with disgrace and conscious of my misery’” Job 10:8-15

Job was certainly a man who represents confused despair!  We can also feel we are slogging through the murkiness of milk wondering where the sense is in our lives and the world around us…we are often as desperate for answers as Job was.

Yet, in all murkiness there is hope.  Father-God gave us life and loves us in the mysterious way only our loving Father can and we live for His purposes not our own.  It is our responsibility to lay down the burden of our despair or confusion and take up the challenge of the cross -- to live for Him, to share His message with those around us…no matter how murky things seem.

Take care with love, especially His, from Darlene, who still prays for you each day.

NOTE:  I choose to believe the Bible because it's a reliable collection of historical documents written down by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses.  They reported supernatural events that took place before, of specific prophecies; and claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.
